On February 3, a sell-out crowd at the Ipswich Democratic Town Committee’s breakfast welcomed Congressman Seth Moulton and John Tierney, Executive Director of Citizens for a Livable World. Moulton spoke of his concerns regarding the current dysfunctional state in Washington and discussed a strategy to make the country sane again. Director Tierney presented a broad plan for nuclear arms control. The Community Service Award went to the Ipswich High School Sustainability Scholars, Johanna Johnson, Chloe Russell, Paula Schneiders, Eva Trainer, and teacher, Lori Lafrance. These students advocate powerfully for sustainability and more intelligent use of resources in Ipswich.
